Solid Products, Inc. on the Grow November 17, 2011
For the second time in less than a year, Solid Products, Inc.(SPI) has been identified as a partner in a new drywall joint compound manufacturing facility. Earlier this year it was announced that Pro Plaster Products with the assistance of SPI had begun manufacturing compound in a facility outside Brisbane, Australia. The latest news comes from Venezuela where Industrias SPI Venezuela, C.A. has begun manufacturing compound in Guarenas, Venezuela.
“It is just the normal progression of what we have been doing for years” said Gregory Frings, president of Solid Products, Inc. “We have shipped thousands of containers all over the globe and we have been a private labeler for some of the world’s largest gypsum wallboard manufacturers. We have been extremely fortunate to find the right partners that share our vision”.
Luis Sanabria the General Manager for Industrias SPI Venezuela, C.A. is excited about the new venture. “We are excited to be manufacturing superior quality compounds. Drywall usage is really in its infancy in Venezuela and we look forward to growing with the market. It is a great position to be in, making the best compound available in the marketplace.”
SPI Venezuela intends to produce in excess of 10 million gallons annually. The facility will not only supply material to Venezuela but intends to supply material throughout Latin America.
